how install xp on dell inspiron

Normally when you try to install windows xp on the Dell Inspiron 3520, which has an i5 processor, you will get a blue screen error message, that means it will not allow to install windows xp on it. So to install windows xp you need AHCI Version 11.2.0.1006 driver which can be download from Intel website. All the SATA, Rapid Storage and AHCI driver has inbuilt in Windows vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, so no need to integrate this driver in these Operating System. This tutorial is about how you can over ride the error on Dell Inspiron 3520 while installing windows xp.

The blue screen message is like this " A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. if this screen appears again follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. check your hard drive.

to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

technical information:

***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)"

To download AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) go to Intel Rapid Storage Technology Download Center you will find f6flpy-x64 and f6flpy-x86. If you have windows xp 64bit then download f6flpy-x64 and for windows xp 32bit download f6flpy-x86.
Now extract the zip file and the AHCI (iaAHCI.inf) driver can be integrate to windows xp by using a software called Nlite.
With Nlite you can also create the bootable CD image, after creating the image burn the iso file to CD and now you will able to install windows xp on Dell Inspiron 3520 Laptop.
Note: This topic is for tutorial purpose, you will not get drivers to install on windows xp for Dell Inspiron 3520. For better performance install Windows 7 or Windows 8 on Dell Inspiron 3520 Laptop and you will find the driver on the Dell support site
